6.5" in 99 grand prix?

Just wondering if anyone has put 6.5" speakers in the doors of a 97-03 grand prix over the stock 5.25" speakers. Got a good deal on an alpine type R component set and they didnt have any of the left of the stock size. I can make a mount up if need be, but im hoping its just going to take a few extra holes for the screws, mainly looking for someone with experience.

its gonna be more work than that i sold my pal some 5 ,25 alpine type r's last month and he had to make custom fiber glass kick panels to fit them in his ride man,

Eye ball it and take the measurements. There are quite a few members selling 5.25 comps for cheap in the classifieds sections.

I actually had my door panel off a few days ago, but i didnt measure it up for 6.5's. You could get the type r's and put them in the back instead of the 6x9's , if its a GOOD deal.
