6.5" Components on 2x250w

I'm going to be using a Hifonics amp that does 2x250 at 4ohms. I am considering going with the CTX65CS, but am wondering if I should make better use of the available power by going with something that can handle a bit more juice.

Thoughts?

BTW, I actually do love power headroom. My subwoofer is an IDQ12v3d4 on a JBL BP1200.1.

nice. fwiw I'm currently using an old PG Octane R amp, bridged to do 150x2 at 4ohms.

also I just realized the amp my friend has is not actually 250x2, its 55x2 at 4ohms. small difference from what he "thought it was" to what it really is.

at any rate, I'm still going to be buying components and a new front stage amp in the 150-250 x 2 range (looking for a smaller package size, and generally a better amp)

what's the deal with those CXS64/CXS62 V2's tweeter mounting? how does it attach to the center of the cone? I dont think I'd want some weird removable center cap.. (i won't be mounting the tweeter in the driver)

Theres nothing weird about the tweeter mounting on the mid. That is really handy imo. You can mount it there, or somewhere else if you want.
