6.5" 2 way seperates w/ silk tweets that can handle 170 watts

Well like the title says, this is what I am looking for. I currently have MB Quart Premium comps and would like to switch to a softer tweet. I have 170 watts to throw at them via biamping or 240 watts brigged - so I need something that likes power.

Been looking at Diamond hex 600s, Dynaudio 240, and Oz Matrix Elite 180

Rest of my equipment is in sig if it helps.

ill always recommend looking into cdts...but if u dont like what they offer boston acoustics puts out some nice equipment too.

ok are you talking about 175 totar or per speaker? because oz matrix only takes 100. But **** i just hooked up my oz for a test run because i still need to build the pods for them and daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn impressive.

~ 170 watts rms per side (per speaker). How much juice did you test them at?

Listened to the Pro60's and they certainly lived up to their reputation - loud and in your face and the tweets can make your ears bleed (a good bleed though:yumyum: ) This was with only 50 watts and was sourced from a crappy Alpine deck.

So, anyways my search has narrowed down to biampable passives. Any other suggestions besides MB Quart, JL, Type X for this???

+1 on the Profi's. They are one of my favorites. I am adding 04' Contours next week. I can't wait. They are a much lower line than the Profi's though. But all I could afford right now.

im in pretty much the same boat, looking for a set of high end,

i was going to get the arc acs 265's but they are pretty hard to come by. thinking about the rainbow soundline now, but i think i want more power handling and output than the slcs.

aren't the rainbow profis 3 ways?

is there anything in between the soundlines and the profis?
