5x7???

How bad would the distirtion be on a 5x7 Alpine Type-s be.

I know you guys like the round vs. oval speaker but woud the distortion be that bad.

They could probably cut it for a while....but what is the application for these? Rear fill? Main front speakers? Will you be amping them?

If they are for main front speakers...I suggest you opt for a set of components with a nice amp. If they are for rear fill, what are you running up front?

They would be for up front. I just don't have the money for comps. And there is going to be no amp. I would put some 5 1/4" Speakers up there But I am worried about the brakets rattling.

They would run off of my HU. About 22rms 50peak

I'd go for 5 1/4" coaxials then with the brackets. As long as you tighten them down properly, they won't rattle.

I plan on ordering from crutchfield and always thought the products were of decent quality, but some one told me there brakets were crap. But hay, u get them for free with your speaker, are they realy that bad.
