5v Out Hardwire to 12V

Im going to Hardwire a Sirius Plug'n Play Unit..

The Plug Is A 5V Out So I Need To Make Leads To Plug into The 12V Source..

Get your Red(Acc) & Black(Gnd)

Start With The Black Gnd.

Strip enough wire to wrap around Both Ground Posts..

Now You Will Salder Them On Get a Nice One.. but Dont Melt The Plastic..

Do That On Both Sides

Wrap in Tape to seel it..

Next Get Your Red ACC Wire..

Strip Enough To Salder To The Top Pin..

Salder It On & Wrap In Tape..

Add The Conectors You Will Need & Your Good To Go

Braking them open is good too, i do both just depends the unit and the actual tip some i like to do that way because the shittyy fusing leads inside.

Anyone can do it in the driveway.. evan if they dont know alot about car audio..

But your way is great if you are short on space..

How about get a socket and tap into the wires that you ghetto rigged around the plug? That looks like crap and I wouldnt trust electrical tape to protect anything in the car. I don't care that it's hidden, your method there is not what I would call professional.
