They don't make universal remotes. Either your headunit has a remote that's compatible with it or it doesn't

Mine has one but like I said I want a remote with illuminating buttons just as a convinience. Thanks by the way the hu is a sound stream inteq

You could get a universal remote with a learn function. I have one that you put face to face with another remote and it reads in the signal from the main remote when you push a button and just programs in that value, so you can copy any button from any remote basically.

lol, I know this isn't going to be very helpful but I don't remember much about it and I'm not sure where it is but just start looking around at universal remotes online and I'm sure you'll find some with learning functions.
