4ohms to 2ohms?

i just got a mtx 1800 watt monoblock amp with 2 mtx thunder 4500 series 12'' subs. i hate mtx, and i sorta got ripped off, but nothing i can do about it now. i mean they hit hard but not what i want. anyways their 4ohms, the amp is 600watts rms and the subs are 250watts rms. i was told to wire it parallel at 2ohms. how would i go about this?

are they svc or dvc

ah so i combine the positives and combine the negatives and run it to 1 pos. and 1 neg on the amp? sorry if thats a dumb question but im sorta new at this haha.

Yes, that is exaclt what you do

But it won't really matter, you're amp is a monoblock and because they are single 4 ohm woofers you can't connect both subs and have it not be 2 ohms.

4 ohms split across one channel will always be 2 ohms.

So even if your amp has two outputs they are probably bridged internally and you will end up with 2 ohms anyway.

If your amp has one output then connect them both to that output both positive wires go in the positive terminal on the amp and both negative wires go in the negative terminal on the amp and the amp will see a 2 ohm load.
