look at the link an i was wonderin if were it says that its indepence is 4 ohms if that means after they are wired together they are 4ohms (makin it 8ohms each) or if it means that each voice coil is 4 ohms makin the sub 2ohms after wired together? im hoping and thinkin that its 2ohms, please respond quickly cause ive already ordered these subs but they havent been shipped yet an i need to no if i need to canceel cause my amp puts out 1500w at 1 ohm an im running two on each amp

im pretty sure that means each voice coil is 4 ohms, meaning you can get either a 2 or 8 ohm sub.

But if you have two subs on one amp you can wire them together to achieve one ohm.

That sub is dual 4 ohms, and with the sub alone you can either wire it in series and get 8 ohms, or you can wire it parallel, and come out with an 2 ohm load.

If you have 2 of them both wired in series, u get 4 ohms, and if wired parallel then u get1 ohm.

Be sure to try both the lower and higher impedance. We've had multiple instances of more SQ *and* output at higher impedances. Blame that on general amp efficiency and dampening factor, I guess.

Here's a brain teaser for you guys while we're on the subject. I have 2 12" Rockford Punch Zs sitting around that I'm thinking about building a box for while my Kv.2 is getting reconed. On the box it says "4 or 8 ohm impendance". Well, which is it? Are they saying it is a dual 8ohm driver and can be wired down to a 4 ohm load? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Check the coils with a DMM.
