4ohm voice coils @3.5ohms?!

i had two pioneer premier TS-W105C/DVC before i got my spls. and i kinda abused them to say it lightly. I ended up blowing both voice coils on one of the subs. I got a multimeter the other day and tested the voice coils on the good sub, and they were at 3.5 ?! supposed to be 4 wtf is goin on here? could this have happened from the abuse i put to them?

when a multimeter tests for resistance the impedence is usually slightly higher...so 3.5 is probably an accurate reading

well i tested my jl w6's and they read 5.9 on each coil

and you said slightly higher, this was .5ohms lower
