a svc 4ohm sub is just 4 ohms. with a dual you can drop the ohms to 2 ohms if ran parallel or raise to 8 ohms if ran in series.

with a 4 ohm dual you can wire it to 2 ohms . the single voice coil is just 4 ohms. only way to drop it to 2 is to connect another woofer to it in parallel.

yea well i am getting 2 mtx 8500 4 ohms so with that i will be able to wire it to 2 ohms

if its the dual voice coil then yes. If they are single voice coil then no.

Two svc4 subs wired in parallel will a 2ohm load. You can try aq or sundown amps. Or, a PA amp like mine (cheap way out) either way you are gonna be spending a lot of money for 1200wrms @ 4ohm.

The 5500D I have wouldn't do a full 1200wrms@4ohm. But, its only $250.

that amp is the cheap-o choice and you have a little head room with it.

5500D is rated 2500@2ohm. More like 2k either amp is a good choice.

Yea, the JBL would be a good choice as well.
