4gauge and circuit breakers..

ok i currently got 4 guage power wire with a 100a fuse running to a jl 1000/1.. im blowing fuses anytime i turn the bass up.. well im buying a new alternator cause mine is only 70 amps so im buying a 150 amp one tonight online and i was plannin on buying a circuit breaker instead of using fuses.. well since 100's are blowing what kind of circruit breaker size would be good or the max. for 4 guage wire.. i was gonna buy a 150amp circruit breaker but i dont know if the wire will handle it.. iu jus tknow i need one mor ethen 100 thx..

right now i am running 4 gauge to a i think it's a 75 or 80 amp circuit breaker and it never trips no matter if i turn the bass up or not.also this breaker is supporting 40wx4 rms pioneer amp for highs and mids/ and 700wx2 bridged mode rms @4 ohms audiobahn A4801T amp.Hope this helps.
