4AWG to 0/1 AWG

i have a bxi2006d with a 4AWG power wire would i gain anything if i switched to 1/0AWG.

While this is true, since he already has the equipment installed it would be highly retarded and a waste of money to upgrade to 1/0 if he didnt need it.

i did the switch in my friends car. didnt have a meter back then but it was for sure audible. had a single bxi2006 and went from knu 4/0 to welders 1/0

is there something to be gained? Technically, yes. The 2kd's going to draw well over 100A dynamically at 1 ohm. I'd guess 150+. With current that high you WILL be experiencing voltage drop across the 4 ga wire to a degree that power output of the amp will be effected.

Realistically though - the resulting power out of the amp probably won't vary by more than 50w or so - and you'll never hear that difference.

As long as the 4 ga is fused properly I wouldn't sweat it, personally.
