4awg ground and 8awg power? is this okay to do?

Planning on upgrading my wire soon. Currently I have enough to upgrade my amp's ground connection, can i do this and keep the power 8awg until I get the rest of my 4awg?

You might be ok, only one way to find out. It's really not recommended, but for a short period of time you might be able to get away with it. I'd get the correct size as soon as you can.
