But the memphis is $1800 at a dealer; whereas the 40.1 is less. I just wish I need a current draw, so I could chose a little better in the 2x20.1 vs 1x40.1

I am sure 20.1 will give that memphis a run for its money, I know 2 20.1's will crush that amp
AND this 40.1 is supposed to have the power of 3 20.1's...
What amp you know that can be wired lower than a 20.1 and play music daily?

Why are you making it this hard. I was just about to buy a Z1, untill I read up on the 20.1's then found this 40.1 was coming out...
The IA amps are retardedly underrated, even with the 3600@1ohm they have advertised it still does more than the Z1, which is 3000@1
Wher im at the dealer has this years 4kw that he wants toi unload for 1300.... But i dont know how well memphis is at dropping below rated impedance... i think its rated 4kwx1 @1ohm... could it be ran at 1/2ohm??? from what i hear the ia 40.1 can run at 1/2 easily...Am i wrong?

I think IA "benefit" lies in its abilty to be wired low....like real low. Anyone want to guess on a 2x20.1 (strapped) vs 40.1?
I am unsure about 3x the power. I guessing more like 2.5 however you better have a **** fine electrical background. I couldn't guess how many batteries for it strapped.

My local dealer wants 1800. That is all I have to go by really. I would guess that since other IA amps could drop real low impedences, this one could as well. But we are only speculating.
was looking at 2 amps for my daily/spl setup
dd z1 or a memphis 4kw..(40.1 is now in my thoughts..)
And the 2 subs i had in mind are either dd9512's or atomic apx's ...
What do u think

Dood. You'd be retarded to spend 100 less and get the memphis, for 100 more you could get an amp that puts out twice that power *yes I said twice that power* and you'd be getting a new amp WTF. Warranty too. Its not like IA wont honor they're warranty.
You know what, go get the memphis and I'll go get the 40.1, that way I will have the CLEAR advantage in being louder bwhaha
As for the memphis running at .5, I dont know but I doubt if it can be done daily.
BTW isnt memphis made in china or some shit now.

Well if money is a concern I'd go with the Audioque HD3's seeing as they're the same thing as last years DD 95's
As for the amps either the Z1 or the 40.1 or 2 20.1's
I had a post made somewhere about the same thing and a few people were willing to bet that a 40.1 would pwn 2 Z1's I am not sure on that though, but I am sure they're close honestly...
I don't think their is made in US either.....
Although I feel 1000x much better being able to PM a representative of the company rather than hope someone reads my e-mail. That level of service is worth quite a bit in my book....not to mention they make a good product that I have heard nearly no complaints about. If they went public, I would invest.

No idea where memphis is made now.... They hold many records , so how can u bash them like there junk??/ And i severly highly doubt the 40.1 puts out triple power as a 4kw..... Last test i saw ona 4kw was 3450wts@1ohm - 13.5 volts..... Those are pretty tough numbers to hate on
