4 x6 speaker recommendation???

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab and need 4 x 6 speakers for the rear doors. Any good ones out there? I have MB Quart RCE-216 components in the front.

screw the rears, 4x6s **** and theres not many options, if you can fit a 6.5 there that would be better if u must have rears, but im saying just forget the rears, you already have a nice frontstage!!

If anything, I would go with either Memphis or Pioneer, possibly Infinity 4x6 plates.

You'll most likely get the best sound out of the Infinity's.

Yea plates are okay, id take those over the coaxial

Polk makes one too, ive heard the Polk and the Infinity plates, and theyre not bad

But im still say jus forget em!

id go polk i was in the same situation as you went with polk and they sound really nice for being such a small speaker and off hu power

I've never seen a good 4X6... they are too inefficient and don't handle much power. Plus, unless you are running a surround processor/DVD, why have rear speakers? Just because the OEM system does? Are we sheep?

X2 on the Infinity...i have the plates and the sound/value ratio is good. I am happy with the SQ. They have the 0db- +3db tweeter attenuation....

i am running my Zx350.4 @ 2ohms on the front plates....Kicker specs SAY 90 @ 2 ohms.....they take it like a champ.

I've listened to Pioneer, Infinity, and a few Polk on a soundboard before, and for the best bang for the buck, get some 3-way pioneers, 2-ways if you cant find the former.

But, those Infinity speakers by far sound the best, they are just lots of money to spend on a 4x6. My advice: Upgrade if you can (to a bigger speaker size), but if your are set on a 4x6 size, get the Infinity speakers 95BlackGA listed above.

screw the rears or settle on plates if you absolutely have to have rear speakers(waste of money in this case IMO)

any good 4x6" will be fine, it is only rearfill.

I've replaced those before with shallow mount midbass...they give you a lot better sound for rear fill and help balance your system....You'll have to make some minor cutting mods but nothing major....I used an air saw I had laying around....
