4 vifa BC25SC06-04 in vents, 2010 hhr

ordered 2 more of these. going to put one in each vent in a 2010 hhr..

should I run them bridged on a 2 channel amp so they don't get the full 50w rms each? I assume it's going to be pretty harsh, but I bought a 1k 18" so I'm sure I'll need them once I get the box in.

amps I have are xm-6020, xm-4040 and xm-4045.

Currently running 2 on the 6020, one per channel. They are harsh and over power my 12" 700w rms d4.

I figure bridged from the 6020 will give them roughly 30-40rms each?

Other thoughts were 2 bridged from one of the 4 channels, and then the mids one per channel.

adjust gain on tweeter amp if they are louder than the rest of your system. what material are the tweeters you have in there now?

Just bought an RE SX 18"...preventive measure I guess.

2 channel is already at lowest setting lol...but I figure with 2 strapped down to 2 ohm and bridged on each channel, they will get the perfect amount of power and fill the car more. they are silk dome. I can't stand metal tweeters.

I just ordered 2 more from ebay for $25..can't beat $12.50 for a 50w rms silk dome tweeter.

Possibly, but not rated for it.

xm-6020, xm-4040, xm-4045

the 6020 is 80x2 @ 2 ohms. I figure 40w rms to a 50w rms tweeter would be good

lol, well I wouldn't run tweets off any of those (pretty sure they will do a lot over rated being that they are old school sony gems) have you thought about running your tweets from the headunit?

I'm on the stock unit, so I'm pretty sure they would sound like crap. Plus I have an electronic crossover for them. The stock unit doesn't have that. I am thinking about getting an 80-prs but I'm not sure yet.

No, I have one tweeter per channel on the 6020. Gain on the amp is at 0. They are crossed at 4k so I'm sure they can take a little extra power. They have been fine for a year or so.
