1. Product:

(4) Tantric MD 12's

2. Specs:

"750w" rms

D2's

2.5" 4 layer flatwound aluminum coil

Linear nomex spider

3. Description/Condition:

You can be the judge on how "used" they are as I only used these (4) for finals. Got them about a week prior, one night of testing and then off to finals. Maybe 20-30 burps on them?

In case you're wondering, I did 158.3 with these (4) in Stock 0-600w.

Don't tell Murph I said this, but the MD's are my favorite line. They just do it all. The get loud as **** for SPL and then you can drop them right into a daily and get low. I do 146ish in the 30's on 2k in my daily with the pair I'm keeping. In a 2 cubic foot, (2) 12" passive radiators @ 30hz SQ box. Lol.

They sound great in anything between 1.5-2cubes. (2) of them have black baskets and (2) of them have silver baskets. Make sure to let me know if you have a preference.

4. Price: :

$190 shipped each.

Trades are welcome. Offer up. keep in mind I'm an amp *****.

Are they the stitched surrounds or the non-stitched surrounds? Kind of confused....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Crap. I didn't even notice that. They are stitched. I'll have to change that pic. The close-ups are of the first one I got to try out. After that one, I got upgraded (stiffer) cones that are stitched like in the other pics. I've had (7). The (6) I have now are all stitched.

My bad.

So you adjust tuning by adjusting the passive radiators?
How low will that play with authority?

That 2 cube box just blows my mind, never paid much attention to passive radiators before.
You adjust tuning by adding or subtracting weight. More mass = lower tuning. If you look closely at the back of them, you will see washers stacked up. That's why I have them inverted; so i can change tuning on the fly. It's also so they don't slap the back of the trunk.

The way it works is, you calculate how much the air in the port you'd like to use would weigh and then replicate it with the moving mass of the PR. i.e. - 6" aero that's 30" long is ~ .5cf. .5 cubic feet of air weighs .6 ounces. Blah, blah... I have a woofer tester so I can check tuning with a click of a mouse. Lol.

Or you can use this formula...

Ah makes sense kinda... thanks for the education! You wouldn't happen to have a spreadsheet I could just plug number into would you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
