Well im doing 4 zv4s and my next step is power. Not sure what route to go I have a civic so my alt is a dc 180 hp not much so I usually rely on battery power. I had a crossfire 8k wired to .5 off of 5 group 31s and dropped to 12.4 what will be my best bet for the most power I can get im gonna go with 6 batts this time.

Lol voltage drop will all ways exist running big amps most people rate thier amps at 12 volts any ways like I said theres really no way to get a bigger alt I would have all ready done this my car wont take any bigher of an alt my belt slip is ridiculous two 5ks might be my best bet then seeing how ive had thay much amperage on my electrical before.

yes voltage drop happens, but 12.4 is horrible. If you have belt slip try a gatorback as they're about the best out there. And make sure alt is properly aligned. My pos v6 spins a 270xp and 390xp with zero slip.

Either way if you can't keep voltage for an 8k, what makes you think you can run 10k with a couple more batts? You would be louder with the current 8k at 14v, so figure out how to keep voltage up.

Ehh well most amps are rated at 12.5 crossfired 8k was rated at that I basically dropped to that theres really nothing I can do I think I habe decided to do the 5ks tho I feel a lot safer doing that were talking 1000 amps of current comoared to 1300 with the ns1s

12.4 is perfectly safe never have I. Seen an amp burn up around 12 volts as well as most batts actually rest at 12.4 that I've seen

Not sure what batts you have but I have NEVER seen any 12v batt rest below 12.6v Most decent AGM's rest 12.8 - 13.2

I didn't say the amp would burn up, I said it's bad on the batt to keep pulling from it when it's below resting voltage. Will eventually kill the batt...

The exact point im getting at.. if I wanted to drop to 14 volts having a 12 volt charging system I would just run a 16 volt charging system then. Voltage drop willall ways be there
