i just hooked up four dual4ohm re 8's up...and according to rockfordfosgate wiring diagram they should be reading 2ohm...but after hooking my multimeter up i'm getting a 1.3ohm reading.....is this because the coils dont sit at an exact 4ohm load?

it should be a 1 ohm load or 4 ohm load

sorry a .5 or 2 ohm load check your wires

Wrong. Four 4 ohm dvc subs can be wired to .5, 2 or 8 ohms...

EDIT: You corrected yourself before my post. Sorry...

a 4 ohm coil can read from 3.2-3.8 in most cases....so yes
