...and my credit card is paid off. Then....I'm gonna destroy it....burn it, cut it up, whatever....but it's gonna be great. To those who thought about getting one, don't. It takes forever to pay off and is deadly as sin.

Good job. I used to be responsible with my cc's at first too. Got to $4000, and got a loan to pay those off. Then I got them back up to about $3500. So I was paying the loan and cc bills. 2 years later the loan is now paid off. Still owe a couple hundred, and am more responsible now. Lesson learned.

they arent deadly as long as you are safe/smart with them...

there is no thing as free money, and credit cards exist because of people who dont understand how they work... those are the people that max them out, and then make just the minimum payments.

use them wisely, and you can use them to your advantage. use them unwisely, and they can destroy you.

Nope, paid everything in cash....easiest way to go and the best way IMO.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I got a 5k limit and was dam near maxed out. Not because of racking it up but other important purposes...such as the car pymnt and other bills I tacked onto it. The good news is since I work 76 hrs/wk. I work 2 f/t job folks....my main job is during the wk, which pays bills and my wknd job mainly towards my cc. I think paying off a 5 grand cc in less than a yr is pretty good. I hear stories all the time from people saying how much they're in debt with credit cards....10's and 1000's of dollars. Anwyay, I'll be glad to get mine paid off....then I can start saving some $$.
