well i havent really had any time with my front stage, so i dont know the diffrence in active and what not...just looking for highs to be loudest...

what hes saying is if ur going active you need 2 channels for tweets and 2 channels for mids. if passive you only need 2 channels for left and right.

to clarify

active setups with a tweeter and a woofer in each door using a 4 chan amp, channel 1 is on woofer Left channel 2 is left tweeter and so on. running active gives your more advantages on tuning and what not. running passive (using supplied crossovers) doesnt allow as much tuning capability.

no just gives you more tuning abilities. just because you have more channels doesnt make you louder. the power the amp, speaker placement, speakers, and about a million other variables make you louder. since it sounds like ur new at this use the passive crossovers. buy the 4 channel, only use 2 of the channels and read up enough until you learn what active is. if you dont know what ur doing it could be very dangerous for your speakers.

many people like the added advantage of running active. But if you wanted to run active, i would run 2 two-channel amplifiers, that way you don't lose the fade function on your hu. It would be alot easier just to run through the crossover that comes with the components, that way, you would only need one two channel amplifier.

125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (200 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms) would that be enough to get these loud?

yes. i only send around 60-70 watts to my comps and they are very loud. you dont need alot of power to get components loud.

i see bad things in this guys future. not that knowledgeable and hes about to more than double the rms rating of his rsd's cause apparently he thinks more power =loud no matter what the speaker rating is.......i give it 2 weeks before hes got a thread talking about how his tweets are blown and 1 mid is crackling.
