Alright, i know this maybe seem like another will it be louder thread.....because it is......BUT i am goin to give VERY SPECIFIC DETAILS, ok....... my friend is in the process of getting 4 Kicker L5 10" Dual 4OHm subs, he will be puttin them in a Civic Hatch, Being he has no room for ported the will be in sealed box, prolly around 1.25 cubic feet per chamber.

He will be running them with a 1600 watt amp, unsure of brand, and he got the amp tested and it was doin 1559 watts, so he will be putting aproximatly 400 watts per sub, which is only under 50 watts of the rms which is inaudible soo it dont matter too much.

My question is that im having a REALLY HARD time choosing what and how many and the size of subs to get, At first i was thinking of goin with 2 10"L7s in vented/ported box with 2.25 cubic feet for each one.

Then i got to thinking about the car that I AM USING, Which is a Toyota Paseo SMALL 2-door car with a back seat the folds down. And i was thinking if i take the back of the back seat off (the part that folds down) i could do an install kinda like PMR did with the MTX jackhammer, EXCEPT I Wass thinking of goin something more reasonable, Perhaps an 18" MT, and i would have it rear firing into the trunk and build a box into the trunk and put the ports goin into the cab of the car.............. like this

Quick PAINT DRawing so you get the idea

i have decided to do that install, but choosing the SUB will be a hard decision, i will only have 1 Subwoofer, I am looking for a big subwoofer of corse, so I BAsically Came down to Either SOLO X 18" which is like $$$$$$ or the MT 18" Which isnt soo much $$$$, OR A MTX RFL 15" (SQ ISNT A NECESSITY TO ME) considering i will be puttin this in a HUGE PoRtEd BOX, and i cant decide what to tune it too, i am leaning more towards lower end hz, I LIKE LOW BASS alright......................................... I NEED OPINIONS AND OTHER OPTIONS, So if you know of other Subs that can wang in a big box PLEASE DO INFORM.... I Am Serious about this INSTALL I have been workin for 3 years and have been saving up a majority of my money for 2 years for this system alone PLEASE HELP

Get an 18", single sub setups are great.

Rather than an MT or Solo X, what about an 18" XXX or SX? Either one of those would still get loud, and wouldnt need quite as much power.

Thanx for the fast feedback, I Will Definetly Check those out on the website, and they do seem like a better way to go as far as the electrical is on the car, i am goin to give RE a call tomorrow on the XXX, just to get all the specifications and posibilities and prices
