4 ga. vs. 1/0 ga

so, i got a battery in the rear, and 3 amps to hook up, now i got crappy 1/0 gauge, (hitron) and good 4 ga (streetwires) ive got 1/0 going back to batt,(knu) which would be better, if i ran 4 ga like 4 ft to my amps, or should i go for gusto and use 1/0 ga, i have fuses and distro blocks for both p.s current each amp has 150 amp fuses
