sundowns sae-1000d was rated for 1000wrms @ 1 ohm with 4 gauge power and ground inputs.

i did have 1/0 ran to a fused distro block , but yeah. youre good.

You also forget that most reputable companies oversize their wire. Kicker, knu, monster, etc. are all larger than 4awg specified circular mil.

That may be true. Seldom do you get more than you pay for. The opposite is the norm, especially when its of Chinese manufacture. If its larger than #4 is it #3? Then there's the quality of the insulation to consider. They won't even discuss that (the most important aspect of wire). If they say its phat and knu its OK. It doesn't mean its fat or new. It sounds so kewl it doesn't have to actually be cool. You mentioned no reputable companies just a few with slick marketing aimed (quite well) at the uninformed.
