Sold 4 Atomic APX

I have 4 Atomic APX 818's for sale. These motors have the bumped bottom plate for additional excursion. I will build them to suit in 12-18" sizes with coil choices of dual .7,1.0,1.4, or 2 ohm and quantity of spiders. The spiders I use are second to none for shear durability and mechanical power handling. I am NOT desperate to sell these but, I am open to REASONABLE offers if someone is interested.

I am on vacation right now. I will post pics later. I may consider selling the motors, make me an offer. The pics thing really is annoying but i guess a few douches made it this way. Feel free to look up my stats on termpro.com under Team Neo. I am not out to nor will I EVER, rip someone off....my reputation means more to me than a couple of dollars. This post was just to see if anyone would be interested and to maybe get offers to consider. If I get them I will post pics to move forward, otherwise I can just keep them and continue to use them in competition. I use the same handle on termpro audio forum, feel free to ask around about me.

If you have ever seen an Atomic 818 motor, then you know what they will look like in pics. 50lb motors, double stacked magnets, bumped bottom plate, ect. I will post pics when I get home on Sunday. As far as HAVING to post a price...I don't think so. However, 400 each for 10's or 12's, 450ea. for 15's, 500ea. for 18's or make a considerable offer. These will be fresh recones with new baskets, spiders, cones, coils, and dust caps. Unless you have 1500-2000 watts rms power to put to each one of these, dont even bother. Depending on the build I can assemble them to handle 20K+ each, mechanically, for burps.

first off you wont get 400 each for them. they can be had for that brand new. and the 818 motor isnt up to par with the 856 motor. i had a few of these motors for sale and there worth about 175 shipped each. and ive dealt with atomic for a long time. i just sold one made into a custom woofer that was a 15 with a 818 motor and took a hit on it.

The 818 and 856 motors are 2 different motors. Each shines when used properly. The 818 has a tighter gap than the 856 which was originally designed for quad coils. I had a pair of 856's and a pair of 880 APXX's. The spiders and cones I use are superior in strength to pretty much everything except the current Atomic parts. In the past Atomic has been anything but consistent in what they send, so I have found another source. And, no, I am hardly lazy. Had you read the post you would have seen I am out of town on vacation and will post pics Sunday when I return home as stated.

ive stuffed a 8 layer round wire daily coil in a 818 motor on a TI basket with huge spiders and made a very nasty sub and got $425 shipped for it. and the basket alone was worth $100. so unless you lower your expectations on what those are actually worth your going to be sitting on them for a very long time. i can get the 18's new from atomic for a lot less then your offering. not knocking your sale, just trying to help as i would be interested in 2 motors

I am sorry you sold your skills for so little. You should start getting more for your efforts man. I can get 18's for less too but not this level sub. I also get my coils directly from the manufacturer(not Atomic). I have blueprints for these motors and 880 motors, so I know what coils will and will not fit. While I dont rule out you stuffing an 8 layer coil into a 818 motor, I do find it questionable unless it was some REAL thin round wound copper. The 818 motor has one of the smallest gaps in the industry. Also, I have found that Atomic has issues with consistency in parts and orders and build quality, ect. I ordered 2 pairs of tens in 06', they sent me one pair of 818's and one pair of 856's with 818 coils, 2 different types and quantity of spiders and clearly 2 different cones..I mean wtf. When I cut them even the coils were different. One former had anodized aluminum and the other titanium. There is .5-.8 in score difference in just the 2 formers not to mention the difference between copper and flat wound aluminum. I will build these with the highest quality parts and control so all the subs perform exactly the same with durability and no issues.
