4 8" RE RE's ported vs. 6 8" RE RE's sealed

like i always say, if you got the money to blow, chuck out the dough and spend it all...

really its all about money...cus chance are, spl wise, i bet they are very close, maybe the 6 by a small notch, but you'll probably get alittle bit better sq,

but who cares if you got the money, hell, spend it, and in the future, who knows, maybe you'll port the 6...

money's not the issue, its just that i don't have room no matter what to port all 6. im struggling to come up with a design to port 4 of them. i think im gonna end up sealing up 6 of em, even though i don't want to :-(

i may do some sort of external round port if i wanna meter them with a plug to seal it back up, though

4 ported should have more output down really low. (20Hz) Above 60Hz it'll be a wash...

Getting enough port length might become an issue, especially since you'll need a big port to lower vent velocity.

Tough decision...

yea, im shooting for around 25-30 inches, but either way im gonna have like 25 or so inches long of a port, i dont remember the exact link. but it's like 3/4 of a cube worth of port displacement.... yuck
