My friend wants me to build him a box for 4 15's in his crown vic. I know there won't be enough room to go ported. Can this be done? He has kicker cvr's. I was thinking since I can't talk him to do 2 ported that I would do 2 facing forwards and 2 facing up or should I just do all 4 facing up?

I would go with 2 15s, possibly 2 18s ported rather than going with 4 sealed.. I think you would yeld much better results that way.. I to have a crownvic, and had a lincoln towncar prior to this. So Im very familiar with these trunks..

I had my SI Mag in 3.5^3ft. ported and it pretty much took up the majority of the trunk in my Grand Marquis. Might be able to pull of 2 ported.
As for 4 sealed, maybe....
how did that box take up the majority of the trunk? i had 01 Marquis with a single 9515. box was about 4.5cu and it didn't take up the whole trunk. you could easily put in 2 15's ported.

I got at 04 Vic and 4 (15s) sealed is doable, but personally I would just do a pair of better quality 15s ported, there is alot of room if you know what your doing.

But, to answer the OP question, I would do a pair back, another pair up. Unless you mount them off center from one another, there wont be enough height, (distance from the front of the trunk, to the taillights) to mount them in the well, firing up.
