well im about to start building a system for my truck. its a chevy fullsize ext cab

my goal is to outdue my little brother how is running 2 15 l7's ported i think around 5 cubes each pushed by a zx1500.

So what im thinking is running 4 12" type r's ported and 2 amps maybe zx1000's what do you guys think? any advice will be appreciated

a pair of L7's is decent, but only 1500rms? you could smoke that, those L7's are nowhere near their potential

if you want type r's, give those 4 12's a good 3krms, they'll get fuggin loud in an ext cab off of 700-800rms each

what amp do you recommend? I have thought about a wall with 2 18" fi btl but i cant decide lol.

yeah i'd love to hear his subs with a bigger amp right now that thing will make his dash dance like crazy

i really havent set a budget but prob around 1grand for subs and amps maybe a little more

Try and find a uses 40.1, Memphis 4k, etc...something on those lines.

Its so funny how those stupid lil L7's buddy's are louder than every body else

I wanted to be louder than my friend and I went from 2 12in sub's

to 4 15's in a 18cubic ft box just so I could be louder lol, Then he sold he's

subs. And later I did to... Now I got the bug again I'll just do 2 15's this time...

u can find type r's for $100 new

and im sure you can find a decent amp to push them for the other 600

For the price range your looking at i would get kicker cvx 12s over the type-r's. Type r's only have 2.5inch coils and the cvx's have 3inch coils. Plus the cvx's will get louder and handle power a hell of alot better than type-r's. And there literally like 20 bucks different in price on ebay.

They will handle 1500rms all day i will vouch for that 100percent.

also with a $1000 budget is going to be kinda hard to get everything you need.

Battery/s, alternator, wire, wood, mat etc....

my plan is to try and blow him away for around the same amount of money that he has in his lol
