4 12in mtx 5500 squares vs 2 15in audioque copper coils

I have 2 12in mtx square 5500's and they bump pretty nice on my audioque 2200d amp i was thinking about buying 2 more 12in mtx squares and building a box for 4 or should i sell my 2 12's and buy 2 15in audioque's which will be louder.

the 15s should be louder but id say the mtx will sound better, though it all depends on the box

thanks for the imput it will also be 90$ cheaper to go with the mtx now that im looking at it, any more imput

like i said depends on the box. if he doesnt have the room for a proper 4 twelve box but does for 2 fifteens then id go two 2 fifteens. especially if i had to chose from up firing or forward/rear firing, this being in a trunk. idk what car he is driving.

i have an 05 escalade so i have plety room 3rd row is out i wanna do a setup subs facing up port out the back fiberglass inside the box. will i need 2 runs of 0 gauge for the 4 12's or can i run it all on 1 run of 0 gauge with a 300 fuse and 2 150 fueses

Just use one run of 1/0 if you're just going to be using the 2200D. I'd suggest a pair of 18's if you're looking for a lot of output. You could do four 15's as well.

Seeing as you already have 2 of em, I would just grab another pair......or try selling yours first to pay for a pair of 18's.

The Opti line is quite nice, and better than the subs you are using right now.
