I knew that would get your attention. I wanted to know if you think this would work for an alarm system. I want to rig up an alarm so that when my car was broken into a device would send a signal to my amp so that it played one constant 80 hz note at maybe 2,000 watts into a 18" cerwin vega stroker which i will be getting soon. I figured with that much bass, any car within 15 feet of mine would have there alarms go off too. Dont you think that would change the car thieves mind and make them run away. Plus with that much bass i dont think the chump's body would be able to withstand the SPL inside the car. Just something I thought of. Want to know if you guys though it was possible to rig up and if it would work as planned.

I guess it would work, depending on the "device" you get. It's a pretty stupid idea though, considering it's pretty easy to cut the power to your car before even getting in. This reminds me of that one time when some guy on here wanted to rig a device to electrocute an inturder in his car. Just practice "safe-bumping" and you shouldn't have a problem with theives.

Great idea just a few problems.

#1. About 2 seconds after it starts the tone your batteries will go dead. If not completely dead they will not allow enough voltage to get to your amp and thus cause u to damage your speaker due to clipping.

#2. It's not worth the effort. If they know enought to break into your car, they prolly know enough to shut off the alarm system.

#3. Ok it wasn't that great of an dead
