im running a sundown 3000d amplifier. 0 guage wiring kit from an optima red top battery (only 1 battery as of right now, will have a second one soon). now i know im supposed to have a fuse in the line close to the battery and then another just before the amp. right now i only have 1 fuse, should have the other in a few days. would it be a bad idea to run the system with a single 300 AMP fuse for a few days?

if i could get away with it, should i run it closer to the battery or the amp?

any help is appreciated.

thanks

You're fine with 1 fuse until you add the second battery. Keep the fuse within 12 inches of first batt under the hood
