sorry but that answer is just as accurate as saying 140db. there is just way to many things to consider.

Most of the cheaper mics don't work very well. They do an okay job at determining which of 2 systems is louder, but if you are looking for an accurate score a termlab would be the way to go:up2somet:

Also, with a $400 budget you are getting close to a mag 12. That is a possibility for a nice overall SQL sub.

I think you could pick up two Kicker CVR 15s for that price. I have two of them and im doing 146db. Box vented and tuned to 32hz
