is there a big difference between the cheap subs u get at like pepboys for 30 or 35 dollars and the like 100 dollar ones. if so how? and what a good sub for like 50 dollars or so

I would get an RE 8. If you listen to Rap, port it. If you don't, put it in a sealed box.

THe rE 8's are very musical but I would strongly consider getting an adire audio shiva for around $150.
