AXIS 12" BNIB Quad 1ohm Coil --- $280 Sold!

One of the greatest SQL drivers out there. Never used, only tested.

TC-9 LMS 12" BNIB Single 3ohm Coil --- $255 Sold!

Never used, only tested. This one is unique in that it doesn't require the large enclosure LMS drivers are known for, making it prohibitive for use in a vehicle. Instead, it has a slightly stiffer spider and parameters that are better suited for vehicles, allowing for a sealed enclosure as small as 1.5cu.ft. Fs is low @ 22.7hz, Qts is .78, and Vas is 63.94 liters. IB would also be a nice option for some of the cleanest, deepest, low frequency response you will ever hear.

TC-9/Eclipse 12" Dual 4ohm Coil --- $150 shipped!!!

Gently used for a brief period. Same performance as a TC Sounds TC-9/SoundSplinter Rl-P. Additional information from the old thread, regarding specs and enclosure options, in the third link below.

Stainless Steel Sapphire Crystal MOVADO --- $400 shipped

For all you guys who offered me $400 for this, here it is. I paid over $1200 for this from an authorized jeweler some years ago and you can own it for less than a third of that.

axis gone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ??
I think I have a buyer for you on the axis....lmk?
Yep, AXIS is spoken for guys. Thanks.

Someone please give this LMS a good home! Strong, light, titanium cone, with 3" excursion and nearly zero THD! Give it 800 to 1600 watts, put it in 1.5 to 2 cubes sealed and you're set. Goo-goo gobs of low distortion low end monsterism!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

For SRS though, I could really use your guys' help here. I want to buy something pretty badly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'm noticing a disturbing trend in the PMs I'm getting indicating that people think because of the smaller motor on the LMS (TC-9 vs. 3HP+), it won't get as loud as an LMS 4000. People, people, people. A larger magnet does not equal more output. It is a part of the recipe but it is not the only ingredient.

Let's dumb this down a bit. If we have this TC-9 LMS in the ubiquitous 1 cube sealed enclosure and we take an SPL reading at a desired frequency, at a desired excursion (let's say 2 inches), at a desired distance out in the middle of a cornfield (pretty close to free space), let's say we get 90dB.

Now we'll only change one obvious thing and one hidden thing. The obvious thing will be to change the motor to a 3HP+ which can be done very easily. If we measure it again in the 1 cube sealed, at the same frequency, at the same excursion, at the same distance, we get the exact same output of 90dB. The hidden change was in the added power necessary to get the same excursion due the lower sensitivity that the smaller motor was partially responsible for.

The changing of the motor assembly will also yield changes in other electrical parameters as well as the final Q of the driver but the main impact will be on the power and enclosure requirements. Even then, those are not very substantial but they're significant enough that they cannot be ignored.

The coil on the LMS can absorb the necessary power needed to overcome it's lack of efficiency. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
