3 shops and all had no clue what bg3 was

I went shopping around for an installer for an alarm and was curious how much they would charge to do the big 3 on my car if it was real cheap Id let them do it instead of doin it myself..1 shop was in business for over 15 years and the others about 10 years...All 3 of them looked at me like I was crazy and said they never heard of it. then I explained to one shop what it was and he told me the the wire from batt pos to alt pos is gonna cause whining...Wtf are these people still in business and not know anything about this..All 3 were strictly car audio and alarm shops.

most car audio shops are run by idiots. most i say. plus they are in the business of makin money so they would much rather sell you some extra batts and high output alts.

what awesome customer support, instead of selling you wire they got it set up to sell you capacitors and and a bunch of bullshit that would never cure the problem just disguise it.

not everyone knows it by that name. ask them about upgrading the electrical system wires or just explain it to them. they will catch on im sure.

That exact thing happened to me once.

Car audio shops like that are the reason why I went out one day determined to wire my car correctly. I couldn't take it anymore. I'd rather blow my own car up than pay a crappy salesman or idiot installer ever again.

the shop here swears by rockford. every brand i name, hes like no they ****. i never heard of aq so theyre no good. i had a bad ground and i knew it was the ground but proceeded to ask him what my problem was and why i was getting engine whine. the dude tried to sell me a rockford capacitor.

Unfortunately the dumbass shops around here spread their knowledge to everyone with a system . When I tell them they're wrong I am the dumbass. ****ing douches.

Ya its pretty funny how local hype goes. My town has a few small shops, all selling rockford,kicker, alpine kenwood pioneer etc.

So people hear me bumpin, ask to check it out and see my wall and have NO CLUE wtf AQ or even Visonik is. So there skeptical of it being loud I suppose or having any sort of quality. (as if the 200"+ of port doesnt give it away)

Then boom boom boom, I get cell numbers and make new friends every week lookin for advice

DO it yourself, dont pay a shop

most shops wont spend a lot of time dooing things like big 3, they save the time to do somthing else.

Everybody always says support your local shops but when you hear stuff like this it makes it hard to! I go to the local shops for small accessories and what not but thats it
