Why would you buy something and not use it?

return it if it's not open. Sell it to some dumbass on ebay? use it as a distro block?

Paper weight? Throw it though a window? Too many uses to list

I know everyone has their opinions on these things, but if you got it, why not use it, it will not supplement a grossly undersized alternator but if you have slightly dimming lights it will help out.

if you already have it, might as well use it. you can use it as a distro block like mentioned above and it will help a little.

the main thing with caps is that they will not fix a problem, but they can't really hurt you either. essentially a waste of money in most cases

At first i was like Screw you guys, I'm not you. But i installed that **** thing and It did not make anything better. It is only good for voltage readings if you ask me. And i have to let my seat down to see those. Maybe i don't know how it is without it on, but if i had it to do again I wouldn't have. got it. I could have took that extra i spent on it and put it towards a HU with bluetooth or some tweets. I'm not sure how much some people's cars lights dim, but i can see mine a little when the bass hits.

my 3 farad stinger cap helps alot. its like night and day with and without it. if you are like me with an insanely small alternator you will definately tell a difference.

long story short to prove my point. 2001 civic w/o cap, stock batt.. 400rms: lights dimmed like one of those neons thats wired into the music and bass got really muddy after a couple minutes.

2005civic(basically same car) 3 farad cap, stinger batt: 1500rms and never drop below 12 volts...always stays between 14.4 and 12. HID headlights and indash dvd, and all run smoothly.

technically... they don't carry power, they build up charge. power is the rate at which energy is transfered in a circuit.
