3 DD 12's or 3 RE 12's??

Buy 2 subs. Build a new box that fits the requirements of those subs. The point of a custom box is somewhat defeated if it isn't customized to work with your equipment.

well...i am currently running some dual 6's thats why i have a box for 3 subs...my box is great and i would love to keep it....maybe i should just get a whole new box and just 2 15's or something...thanks

Hintzy, he's saying that he is running 3 dual 6ohm speakers and that is why he has a box for three... 3 dual 6 can be wired to 1 ohm even, that's what he was saying... not dvc 6" woofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

OK, that makes more sense. The box still won't be built around the woofes he buys now and so will produce less than optimal performance.

JL and their **** dual 6ohm, 3 sub setups. God they cause alot of problems/confusion.

Save yourself the hassle, go with with an even number of drivers/coils, or a single sub setup. Running 3 subs most times rather inefficient and a pita.

dual 2 would obviously get you closer, but will be kinda touch finding somthing that low powered, perhaps tc sounds, dd 500 series, the aq I mention is your best bet. The 3 aqs I think would be your best bet because thats 3 single 4ohm subs which is a 1.34 final load.

yeah that is right but if he had 3 dvc 4ohm subs... that equals .66 ohm load 4 divided by 6.....

My subs are dual 6's that i have in my box right now and they are 3 12's....not many people run 3 subs...1 just isnt enough and 2 most people run 2 subs...so my option is to get 3 DD 2512's or 3 RE SR12's....but my JL's hit mid 140's and i hate to try a new setup and it not be louder than my JL's...but i have heard both dd and re and they sound clean....plus i will have more power going to my subs cause it will be wired to 2.67 ohm load instead of the 4 ohm load now on my JL's...option 2 get a new 2 channel amp...like a US Amps 1000x or 2000x...thanks

is it a sealed or ported box? thats what people need to know
