Hey Guys,

I'm building a system, and need some expert input... my knowledge lacks on this subject.

I'm building a system, and I'm looking for some sq. Loudness is not a main objective, but a little hiphop on Friday nights will happen. Basically, just looking for a good all-around set.

My set-up so far consists of:

Amp: Elemental Designs Nine.4 (Seems to be well under-rated) http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_22&products_id=46

Sub: Elemental Designs 13ov.2 dual 4 to go in sealed at 2 ohms (I think). http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?products_id=35

For components I'm looking at:

1. jl xr comps

2. The Image Dynamics CTX65CS

3. Elemental Designs 9.65i

I'm not fond of harsh highs, or any harshness in general. So I'm thinking that will cut out the jl's, as they have an alum. tweet?

I hear the 9.65i's have great midbass presence. Same with the ID's. I think I'm leaning towards either the 9.65i's or ID's. Any other suggestions would be good also.

My price point is sub 200. The 9.65i's are 225, which is more than I want to spend unless they are significantly better than the ID's.

Any suggestions?

find a reliable local shop go listen to some different speakers. let your ears be the experts for what they like to listen
