my friend is talking shit about his 3 audiobahn 10's he ordered from crutchfield. He is saying that his 600w rms treated paper cone audiobahns can out bump my one aluminum cone eclipse running at 500w+ rms

is he right?? i said mine will probably have better sq and overall cleanliness rather than his sloppy paper cone bass

Can you back me up and tell me who would win??

more displacement + more wattage = more SPL, although I can't say anything definite about your friends and your systems

what the cone is made out of is irrelevant, audiobahns just lack sq

Technicly 3 10's would outperform 1 10 easily in the correct setup. But You friend would be making a stupid mistake by gettting those audiobahns. The cone material doesn't really matter as long as it is rigid enough to withstand the pressures. Most cones are either formed plastic or paper with aluminum being one of the least used cone materials. But im thinking your friend is gitting the audiobahn AW102's or 101's... those are pieces of crap IMO... he is probably gonna have them in a crappy prefab bandpass box too.

You would more than like ly win in SQ if he gets a bandpass with those subs. I despise those subs they give audiobahns a bad rep for lack of SQ. IMO audiobahn should make only 3 or 4 subs... the 05's, Immortals, Eternals, and ALUMS... and maybe the pro compressions.
