3- 8W7's in a ported Box can it get loud?

thoes 8w7's will do 500rms all day. a sundown saz1500 will give you a solid 1.5k at 1ohm which is what 3 8w7's would work out to.

you should be able to get you 140 with the saz1500 and the 3 8's as long as the box is designed good.

Just don't know about these Sundown stuff.... need to ask around, I'm looking to get 140db with these 3 vented, if not I'll go with 10's or maybe 2-12's, I got a PM saying to go with FI Q's.
Any opinions?

The Fi Q's are a huge forum boner. I heard my first one the other day at a local shop & was a bit let down by all the hype. It was only the one experience & may have been the install, but it didn't have near the SQ I expected. So take that w/ a grain of salt, as I don't have near enough experience w/ them to make an accurate judgement.

Though I will say the 12W6v2's are extremely hard to beat in terms of SQ & should get plenty loud in a SUV. Speaking of which, why are you set on a 8" woofer w/ the space you have?

i would go with the 3 8's if your not worried about price vs output

they will shock people how loud they can get with about 1800-2400 rms on the trio.

I see you are going for sq, well IMO the w6 sounds much cleaner than w7's, i guess you could say

the 6 sounded warmer and more musical with a flatter response, while w7s low end seems exaggerated in some cases.

Its your preference
