here's a temporary box i threw together for my 15" mojo until my toxic bass design is complete...powered by a BX1505 until CIA has repaired my Herc.

beginning design:

3.5 cubes tuned to 36ish hz....60 in^2 of port.

pieces cut...

all sides doubled up....

yea i know...a little ghettofied but i was running low on clamps at the time...lol

no build pics because honestly this box wasn't pretty. nor was it meant to be. i just wanted something SOLID that would hold me over until i get the chance to build the ttb design.

finished product...

i know...nasty looking....it had a couple unflush edges and a few split ends from not predrilling far enough as you can see...the bit wasn't long enough for working with doubled baffles...

it might not be clean but it is DEFINITELY the most solid box i've built to date...i think i used more screws and glue in this box than i have in all my other builds combined...lol. its definitely heavier than the others... it's also internally braced with two 2"x4"s.

tomorrow it'll be carpeted, and everything should be installed...vids possibly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

let me know what you think.

uhhh uhhh Not a good design... Sub shouldnt placed on that side of the box.
yup...i realized that soon after...that's why i haven't made the cutout yet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

it's gonna be placed dead in the middle which should put it as close as possible to the ports end opening...isn't that what i should shoot for?

I always shoot for the sub as far away from the port openin inside the box as possible.

**** the box, I wanna see pics of the mojo lol.
lol, ttb. . . . what a joke.
ask and you shall receive.

why do you say that about them? j/w because i've heard nothing but good things about their designs...

and ray forgive me for being a noob but what's a load wall?

Sexy, I kinda wish I didn't buy a couple TRF 15's, because I want to run mojos.Implulse buy lol.Sexy though.

I'm not a fan of their turn around time, or the fact that pete gave a few (like 4-5 known?) the same design and told them it was designed specifically for them.Besides the fact he tries to make shit sound more than what it is.

yup...i just bought it from gotslap on ROE....i listened to his pair on a memphis 4kw before....they are pretty d*mn loud....i'm really happy with mine so far...a lot of people told me they sound like ***, maybe its just me but i am really happy with the sq considering it is an SPL based sub.

hopefully i'll be adding a twin later on when funds allow...

i agree toxic bass is a little slow, but imo if it gains me a little spl its worth the wait...

i've never heard of pete doing that...not calling you a liar or anything...it's just the first time i've heard it...but i notice he does exaggerate a lot, either way it seems like he has a lot of knowledge when it comes to designing, etc so i'm willing to trust him...

ahh i gotcha now ray....thanks for filling me in on that, i wouldve incorporated it into this build but its already complete and i don't really wanna go through the hassle of deconstruction, adding more wood (which i'm out of....lol) and then reglueing and screwing.
