Don't know if it's a nationwide thing or not but at my home depot, 3/4" birch plywood 4x8 sheets are $20 a piece. Usually over 40 here
it never routes as good as mdf but you can sand it to get pretty smoothcan the birch be rounded over to look as smooth as the mdf???
x2It's too bad you guys don't understand that's regular pine plywood with a thin layer of birch on one side. It's mostly pine, not birch. It's not good for building boxes. It's density is way too low. Look for Marine grade Birch Ply at a real lumber yard that supplies boat builders. It's usually closer to $65 a sheet.MDF is far superiour to that crap you're buying at home depot.
whats the real weight difference? i had a box made out of birch and it didnt seem too much different....any1 got some numbers?it never routes as good as mdf but you can sand it to get pretty smooth
lulzI wonder if there is someone out there that is half way through their box going hmmmm.

Home depot does not sell real marine grade ply. That stuff is shit.if it is the cabinet grade birch that is normally 60 a sheet it is the correct birch, they sell 2 kinds the pine ply birch is the wrong stuff.
