3 4" areos

Would 3 4" areos work for my this set up it will be one 15" type r box will be around 3.5 cubs net with three areos tuned to 32.and the areos will point to the side sub up will that work.or should i go slot forward sub up

yes 3 4" aero ports will work well.

as for port positioning, do some research on your vehicle to see if you can find out what firing directions work bet.

This is a n00b question and didnt want to make a thread about it, but how do you figure up port area for round ports? I am planning on doing the same setup of 3 4" round ports.

pi * radius^2 * number of ports

Therefore, 3 4" aero ports have port area of 3.14 * 2^2 * 3 = 37.7 sq inches.

You don't need as much area with round ports. The whole reason for having 12^sq.in. per cb.ft. with slot is to minimize as much port noise as you can. With flared aeros, you have a much lower chance of port noise, which is why you don't need as much area.

37^2 of flare aero port is about equal to 74^2 of slot.

you will not be able to use 3 4'' aeros on that setup. also i'd do 3.5 cubes with 35hz tuning. and do 2 4'' or 1 6'' aero port.

how do you guys now how long (not diameter) of an aero port to use? like on partsexpress they sell them, do you just keep them the way they are for the build or do they need to be chopped up for precise tuning?

yes they will need to be cut for your tunning
