2x12L7 vs. RE XXX 15"

I think that the L7's would be louder.. Given the right power, and a proper sealed enclosure the 12L7's sealed would for sure get as loud or louder than an xxx 15" ported. They wouldn't be as deep, but the output would be very close if not better.

I have great respect for the L7, and have learned to never underestimate them, because they are fu*king loud as hell when you know how to work with them.

And, i also have great respect for the XXX.. The xxx would sound way better than the solos, get low, and it would be loud as hell. But if output was all that you were after i'd get a 15 L7 and give it 1500 watts and port it.. It's impressive to say the least.

I would definitely get a single XXX in a ported box. However 2 12L7s did do me justice. The SQ I wasn't too thrilled with though but it did get pretty **** LOUD! **** sorry guys, i forgot that i even made this thread. my trunk has 14.2 cubic foot capacity ('99 626) and I think i'll go with 1 XXX 15 or maybe 18 if i get enough money. How much is 1 15 or 1 18 and how much power does 18 handle? how big ported box does re recommend for it?

well the cone is removeable within like 2 minutes...but that ws a basket only for that pic...
