2x Kinetik HC1800 or Powermaster D2400 + D1200 or else

Gonna be powering around 3000 watts, so along with my 250 amp alternator I'm looking for some good battery-age. These are pretty much the limit of what is going to fit in my car. The HC1800 or D2400 is going to be under my hood, with either the other HC1800 or D1200 going in back. With a 250 amp alternator I expect these batteries to be enough. Thoughts?

Yes, either option will work. If you go the XS Power route, the D3400 is actually the closest to the same size as the Kinetik 1800. According to my buddy Walt a d2700 doesn't even beat a hc2000. Isn't a d2700 bigger and stronger than a d3400?

Get two of the same batts. If you mix them their lifespan will probably be shortened.

How so as long as they are all AGM batts it shouldnt matter??

Resistance and the amount of charge they hold matters in how they discharge and recharge. One could be dead or full charged effecting the system and all the little inconsistencies in between is not as good as it could be. I would go the 2 hc1800 route or at least 2 of the same sized.

well I got 2 C&D's and a stinger spv70 I plan to put in the back that should be fine right?? all 3 batteries are good

Okay, I think I'll go with the two HC1800s. That should be enough for 3000 watts RMS (plus the 250smp alt) right?

How does the D3400 compare to the D2400?

The D3400 is the same footprint as the D2400, but a little shorter (about 1.25"). The D3400 and the HC1800 are about the same dimensions. I dont think you will find another Group 34 battery that can touch it...
