Hello guys, Im building a new system for my 95 Cadillac STS. I want my system to be 100% pioneer cos I luv it and got good experience with this brand. For my head unit I want a In-Dash Navigation probably the AVIC-Z2 or the AVIC-D3 and I already got my speaker, TS-A6962R 6x9 3WAY 250W AND PREMIER TS-A531P 5.25" 3-Way 180W.

So what I dont know right now is the sub.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I got 2x NEW PIONEER GM-7300M MONO 360W/800W and 2x PIONEER TS-W257D4 10" 350W/1000W SUB, and I wanna add a 12'' sub to that...is it a good idea or should I stick with 2x 10''?

I also got a POWER ACOUSTIK PC.5C 8 Farad Car Digital Cap...so basicly I only need my head unit and maybe a 12'' sub and another amp...but im not sure if its good idea?! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

bad idea. If the you want more get a couple more tens or get rid of the tens and get a couple 12's or 15's
is space is an issue just got with a couple 12s or 1 15

if not give 4 10s a try see what you think

mixing different sizes never really does much for you at all.

subs that are unmatched in size CAN sound REALY good under 1 condition. U must have an external filter to sort the very lowest notes to the biggest sub(s) and the other sub notes to the smaller subs. this can potentally be a great set-up. I have done the same several years ago for a freind with 2 RF 10's & 2 RF12's in an S-10. If U don't sort the note to the apropiate subs, They are all going to be trying to play the exact same sounds at the same time with notisabbly different results The out come could range from anything from a little "double hit" sound on certain notes - to - the sound waves canceling each other, or muffling each other out and sounding extreamly distorted. if U decide to go this route with the different sized subs with crossovers, it should be with extreme sound quality in mind and not for "As load as I can get in mind" I would definayely put the 10's in aa sealed box if going this route & use a top-end highly adjustable X-over. however, if U do all of thiss to achieve great SQ, do U'rself a favor & swap the 6x9's for components, or even just rounds. the oval shape ov 6x9's have been proven to be less efective in SQ than round speakers. If U decide to go for all out SPL, add two more of the exact same tens ported, or swap for a couple 15's FYI... For a few years the world SPL record was set with 10" speakers. Since they take up less cubic space, U can fit more in there & therefore able to feedthem more powe than the same cubic feet with the same speakers in 15". Keep in mind though, that U must have enough power to feed them to be able to take an advatage of the 10's smaller size.

No, No, and no. Pioneer is not where it is at. Equipment that is sold at walmart, kmart and dairy mart is not your best choice. Stick around do some reading and you can find alot better for the same amount of money.
