2channel amp, speaker/subwoofer and ohms question.

I have a mono amplifier currently pushing 1000w at 2ohm to two 12" pioneers,(they are both 1200watts max per sub) and they are 4ohms wired to 2.

I have a second amp that i had a neat little plan for but wanted to make sure i dont screw up anything.

This new amp is a 2/1 channel amp,

Specs:

rms: 185W X 2 (4ohms per channel)

200W X 2 (2ohms " " )

400W X 1 (Bridged, at 4ohms min)

Max: 380W X 2 (4ohm per channel)

1000W X1 (bridged) (4ohm)

So currently I swapped my 2-2ohm subs for 2-4ohm subs both rated rms~400W and max1200W.

the 2-4ohms are in their own shared custom box wired to 2ohms. (pulling max1000W from current amp)

My question (finally): if i swap out my mono amp for the 2/1 channel amp.

This is my plan for wiring;

[(2-4ohm subs wired to 2ohms)in own box] +in parallel [(1-2ohm sub)in own box] = 4ohm total load.

This would then be wired to the 2/1 channel amp as bridged (1000watts max at 4ohms)

[all subs can handle more than 1000watts max.] [mono amp is old and only stable to 2ohms] new amp is only stable to 2ohms per channel or 4ohm bridged.

Would This Work?

Or am i better off another way?

Thank you all for taking the time to read this, its my first post on this forum and i hope all my explanations are at least a little clear.

Electrically yes it would work but your going to run into some issues. Thes first question is...what is the RMS value on both of the amps, and the second is are the subs of different resistance the same brand. The reason your going to have issues is because even subs of the same brand will have different sounds with different rated voice coils, and mixing sounds usually leave you with an interesting sound. Don't get me wrong some people have been able to make it work really well, but it isnt easy.

The thing is, adding another subwoofer without adding anymore power doesn't mean the sound level increases, it depends on much more than that. Specifically in your case you could be under powering all of the subs now because the power has to be divided by three, and when under powered subwoofers do not perform as well and they may not even reach what just 2 of them were able to accomplish.

Everything I said here is assuming I understood what you are trying to do, which I am not 100% sure and don't know all of the specs, but overall I personally wouldnt do it
