6 15's is more cone area than 8 12's and less mounting room
45 inches on each side compared to 48" i only have 55" depth. Also its cost less and 15's everyone says is the way to go will play low as hell
so basically ur mind is made this thread was just for fun?

its either 4 or 6 15's I would like to do 18's but idk if i have the room for 18's and idk if i have the room for 6 15's. I know I do for 4 15's

But a builder knows more than me so they would know what I have room for(reason for the thread)

yea not much though, Less subs to buy and easier to wire up and less cost but idk, rather have 2 subs on each side of the bed facing one another angled design u know

you are just gettin greedy i've gotten 50+ w 2 15's in a 4 th order in a trunk blown through rear deck on 3.5k and you want 6 on 4 k ?? just do 4 on 4 k and you'll be very happpy or like kush says 2 I A 21's on 5 k will be killa

I couldnt fit 21's lol way too big i only have 48" wide

thats 42 plus the 3? for MDF thats 45" leaves a 3" port???

could only do sealed, unless i did sometype of weird box with subs facing up?

idk how is it possible

Whats the prices of the 21" subs?

Also 4 15's will have more cone area

They're damn near the same....

I'd go with 4 15's... double walled and braced...

yea 4 15's with tons of port area and 4-4.5 cubes each or 6 15's with 3-3.5 cubes and not a lot of port area

Bracing > double layers of MDF. Adding bracing in strategic locations throughout the box not only occupies less internal volume, but is actually stronger than just a normal box with doubled up walls. It also uses less material and will weight less while still retaining more rigidity. Get yourself a router and a pen and paper and start coming up with some creative looking window braces that would look nice in the blowthrough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
