2500D -- 2 W7 12's

Heya...

Well I finally decided that the Type-R is just not enuff for me... I ordered an Orion 2500D and 2 JL12W7's today!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!

So anyone have these suckers sealed w/ that kinda power? What size box? Hows it sound?

ive heard they do alot better ported....might be waisting some very nice subs by runing them sealed.....just port them

They would sound great, but lack output.

and if you don't have space for ported replace for em for a couple 12w6v2s.

Very comparable SQ wise as I have read.

Plus you won't need the 2500d, just settle with the 1200d.

So.....have you heard a W7 sealed and a W7 ported to JL specs?

Many dub 7s ported in JL boxes, and a sealed in what looked like a 2ish cube box.

Ported is teh way to go!

I vote Ported...where I work they almost always port them and they hit so frickin' hard it's just ridiculous!!!!! Poped a trunk open once...saw it myself.

Where did you pick the subs up at? Online or locally? A&B wants $1400 + taxes each here in BC. Little too rich for my blood.

They sound incredibly good sealed, and IMO they have more than enough output for me that way. Put a 12W7 in a 1.35 cu ft sealed box and watch it shine. 2 cu ft would cause it to sound overly sloppy and lack output, unless you are talking about the 13.
