this capacitor states 24 Volts DC (SEE LINK) is it ok to set it on a sedan 12 volts?

Yes, 24v is the peak. Its fine, as long as you dont try putting it in a sedan. I cant guarantee anything on sedans, it may explode.

24v is simply the voltage it can safely be charged to. Since your alt won't produce much more than 14 - yes, it's fine.
